HOW TO BECOME A BETTER COACH AND MENTOR

If you’re in the business world, then you must know how to become a better coach and mentor. You’ve likely had the opportunity to both be mentored and mentor others at some point in your career. This guide will give you some tips on how to take your mentoring skills to the next level, whether it’s your first time being a mentor or your 100th. The best way to be a good mentor is by being a great listener. And asking lots of questions to help get an idea of what the mentee wants to achieve with your help.

1) Help people understand that you’re there to help

It is entirely up to you whether or not you wish to inform others about the type of mentor you are. That’s because mentoring can entail advising someone on a deeper personal level as well as teaching them how to accomplish something. If your goal is just to be helpful, it may not be necessary for others to know that you’re mentoring them. But if they do know, being open and honest can improve your relationship with them.
